How To Floss

  1. Winding your floss

Pull out a piece of floss that is approximately 18 inches. Wind it around your middle finger on one hand then do the same thing on your other hand. Pinch the floss between your thumb and your index fingers, leaving at least 1 inch in length in-between.

Tip: use your thumb to direct floss between the upper teeth.

  1. Direct your floss

Make sure you have one to two inches of floss in-between your fingers. Use your index finger to direct the floss.

  1. Glide

Glide the floss in a zigzag motion. Try to make a C-shape with the floss as you wrap it around your teeth.

  1. Slide

At this stage, the floss should be on your teeth’s surface, under the gum line. Don’t forget the back side of each tooth.
